10 Things

10 things not to do when you like a girl(from personal experience) trust me I am an expert in chasing women away. This is for situation where you just known her for 1-2 weeks. Some of these things do work when you have formed some sort of friendship that has lasted for a month at least.

1. Do not let the cat out of the bag, this includes telling her you like her too soon, being too obvious. Women like the mystery. If you like her it means that there are already other guys who tell her the same thing everyday, she doesn’t need another idiot doing the same thing.
 
2. Do not pay for everything this means meals and activities, go dutch, women are independent. Most of all they feel guilty and embarrassed when you pay ALL the time which i know you will be tempted to do so.

3. You have a life so do not make her the center of yours. Get a life hahahahah I mean literally. Go get one make more friends and like I said keep it mysterious.
 
 4. Do not take references from shows on TV. You are not Ted from HIMYM or Joey from Friends. The crazy things that they attempt  are really not what you should do.
 
 5. Do not drive in the middle of the night at 3am to drop off a soothing drink because she sounds like she has a sore throat. This spells over-enthusiasm and borderline insanity.
 
 6.Do not buy her an expensive dinner a gift and flowers on the first outing. It is not a competition on extravagance make it simple unless you want her to run away which this will work exceptionally well(trust me).
 
 7. Do not make ridiculous offers and propositions you know you will regret later, this includes flying halfway across the city to be a guide or offering your home as a hotel for weeks on end. It is nice but is it realistic. Too much equates to too much simple as that.
 
 8.Do not stalk her, includes both Facebook and literal stalking. She will catch on and take off with handbag in hand.
 
 9. Never say “Anything” or “Up to you”. Make a decision if she ask you for your opinion then decide. Hearing confusion from both parties drives people up the wall.

10.Do no try to act like someone you are not, simple idea but difficult to execute. No point in putting up fronts, it’s uncomfortable for you and weird for her.


So that’s it 10 tips that anyone who feels like they are in a rut, if you are a girl and reading this let me know if I am right.

Research Proposal

Design and Music have always been two of my biggest passions; Being a designer has helped me understand the way the world works and how each industry uses design to bring everything together cohesively. Music on the other hand has been “THE” great passion, singing with choirs and bands as well as understanding the theory and history of music allows me to watch as it evolves constantly to entertain our ever-changing society.
As a designer and musician I have started to take interest in how both art forms affect us humans and our behaviours. How a song or a piece of art can bring about different emotions and behaviours in different people. Therefore I propose to research on the following topic.
The National Environment Agency of Singapore (NEA) organises annually ECO Music Challenge, an initiative for songwriters to compose songs and win prizes of up to $5000. This initiative tries to promote environmental sustainability in Singapore. I hope to look at this method of how the local government uses music and the performing arts to promote sustainability.
In many ways, Singapore is a very different country compared to Australia, socially, politically and culturally, just to name a few and those differences affect how citizens of each nation view and behave differently towards the same artifacts.
My research will be able to quantify the benefits that the ECO Music Challenge provides to the local and international communities. The next step would be to use design systems and methods to improve on the events success in promoting environmental sustainability.
